2018 Facelift Ford Transit Custom

The 2018 Ford Transit Custom has had a facelift, but that’s not the only thing that’s changed…

With the first Customer deliveries starting early next year (not long now!), we’re revealing some of the features you’ll see on this new van.

The first thing you’ll notice is the front has had quite the makeover.  Influenced by the Ford passenger car range, the front of the Transit has a high-mounted ‘trapezoid grille’ and slimmer, more anguler headlights.

However, the main changes are the huge improvements to the interior.  They have completely redesigned the Ford Transit Custom’s cab, with much more focus on Smart Techology to make life easier on the road.

In the spec’d up models, you’ll find an iPad-style 8.0-inch touchscreen central display running Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system, which features pinch and swipe control capability, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in addition to sat-nav, Bluetooth and DAB radio.  The Transit’s seats have also been completely upgraded:

With tonnes of storage space both in the dash (25 litres) and doors, the glove box can hold A4-size hanging files in its lower compartment for those all important job sheets.  There’s also fifth cup holder in the form of a new fold-out cupholder below the gearlever.

There’s also a whole host of additional safety features, including intelligent speed limiter, Blind Spot Information System, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist and Side Wind Stabilisation.

I think you may agree with us when we say, we think this is the best Ford Transit Custom yet!
