WRC Drivers Put Citroën Dispatch Through it’s Paces on Rally Stage

We all know modern vehicles are rigorously and thoroughly tested these days, however, Citroën have gone a step further with their Medium sized LCV, the new van for sale, the Dispatch.

World Rally Championship partners Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle have plenty of experience rallying for Citroën, but whilst their new C3 is being prepared for it’s first competitive outing in January next year, the pair took a chance to show off the new Dispatch. The track was not designed to mimic a rally as much as it was to give the lads a chance to show off, not just their driving skills, but the Dispatch’s strong points – They focused on proving how stable the van could be, thrashing it around corners and power sliding through the wet mud.

Driver Kris Meeke, said afterwards: “I’m impressed, that was really good – I enjoyed it. With slippery conditions on the stage, New Dispatch coped really well. It gave me the stability I needed in the corners, with great handling, which made it easy and fun to drive.”

Whilst this kind of display is unlikely to ever be included in convential van testing for the future, it does seem like great fun and makes a very good promo vid for Citroën’s new medium sized van.
