Improved Boxer to Complete Peugeot’s Euro 6 LCV Line Up

The new BlueHDi engines are being added to Peugeot’s boxer range. This will see the every model of LCV that Peugeot make, meet Euro 6 requirements.

The engines are said to be able to cut NOx emissions by up to 90%, as well as boasting improved fuel efficiency and less CO2 output too. The two litre, turbo-deisel engines are split into three variants (100bhp, 130bhp and 160bhp) and have been tuned to increase performance. Peugeot have cut 0 – 62mph by as much as four seconds in some cases and from 50 – 80mph improved by eight seconds on the predecessors. The 130bhp variant will also reach 47mpg on a combined cycle.

To add to all these changes under the hood, the Boxers also now have more creature comforts like USB ports, 12V socket as well as a hands free holster for smart phones, in some models at least.

Prices for all this new-ness now start at £20,970 plus VAT for the basic model and also come in three sizes, with either panels or windows.
